Navigating the Human Rights Complaint Process - A Free Public Legal Information Event (Charlottetown)
Date: Tuesday, March 3, 2026
Time: 6:00 p.m.
Location: The Law Society of Prince Edward Island
Have you ever wondered how the Human Rights complaint process actually works on PEI?

We are pleased to share our next public legal education event: Navigating the Human Rights Complaint Process.

The Law Society of Prince Edward Island is partnering with the PEI Human Rights Commission to offer a free public legal information session designed to explain the human rights process, including the complaint process, in a clear, practical way.

At this session, you will:

  • Learn what discrimination means under the Human Rights Act
  • Walk step-by-step through the complaint process
  • Understand what may happen after a complaint is received, including mediation, investigation, and hearings
  • Learn about possible remedies and outcomes

Whether you are considering filing a complaint, responding to one, or simply want to better understand how the system works, we hope this session will make the process understandable and accessible.

Sessions are being held in-person in both Charlottetown and Summerside:

Charlottetown: March 3, 2026 at 6:00 p.m., Law Society of PEI
Summerside: March 9, 2026 at 6:00 p.m., Summerside Rotary Library
